This gorgeous family lives in the beautiful valley of Huntsville that I now call home (since my parents moved there while I was living in Venezuela). Sweet Karra waited through my maternity leave so that I could capture these images for them in their new home. Thank you for waiting for me Karra! Thank you thank you!
I have always been drawn to Karra and her family. Karra and Michael gave their girls the cutest names and they inspired me with naming our own kids; Taylar, Morgan, Bailey, and Jessey. And they were all just so good looking! This beautiful mom and dad with their four gorgeous girls that sat in front of us in the church pews, with gorgeous brown, auburn, and blonde bouncing curls. On top of that, Karra is one of the funnest friends to be around that I know. Always laughing and having fun yet so grounded and full of faith. I hope I can be a little more like Karra as my kids continue to grow.
Michael and Karra just built a new home, so in our pre-session consultation Karra and I talked about making these images the symbol of their family unity in their new cozy place. It was also the perfect time to capture their family before their oldest, Taylar, moved away to her first year of college. This view is the extension of their backyard, and the other images we took right in front of their home.
We even got little doggie, Maizy, in on the action. (Thanks, Mom, my assistant that morning, for holding the doggie treat and becoming Maizy’s new favorite friend!)
I have loved getting to know this family more, and didn’t Karra do an amazing job with dressing them!
What a privilege, Dunn family. We are now bonded for life.
I hope you’ll love your treasured portraits forever.
